Learn More About the Candidates Running for Emeryville City Council and Emery School District

The League of Women Voters of Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville are holding a candidates forum on September 18.  The Emery School board forum will be held from 6:30PM to 7:30PM.  The Emeryville City Council forum will be held from 7:45PM to 8:45PM.  The public is welcome and admission is free.  The forums will be videotaped and replayed on the local public cable channel and accessible online after the event.

a statewide primary, California now has a Top Two Open Primary system, which
means that all candidates running for state constitutional, U.S. Congressional,
and state legislative offices will be listed on a single statewide primary
election ballot. Voters can vote for the candidate of their choice for these
offices, regardless of how they are registered. The top two candidates, as
determined by the voters, will advance to the general election in November.
