Less than a year ahead of the presidential election, the American public is deeply cynical about government, politics and the nation's elected leaders in a way that has become all too familiar. According to Pew Research, only 19% say they can trust the government always or most of the time, among the lowest levels in the past half-century. Only 20% would describe government programs as being well run. At the same time people are hungry for a government that works and there is a large and untapped resource that could help make that happen + the American people. Join us on April 16 to learn how Americans have viewed their government throughout its history, what government does, where we stand today, and how you can become a part of the solution. We want to generate some thoughtful discussion on this topic at our meeting, and would love to hear many different points of view. All we ask is that you bring an open mind and the willingness to hear other opinions with tolerance and civility. This event is free and open to the public. Bring a friend!

Election
2016 is the most important election of the decade and California voters
will turnout in significant numbers to elect a new President, a new
Senator, and vote on dozens of other races and issues. What will the
turnout look like? What do California voters need to know about
registering online, voting by mail, finding their polling place, and the
impact of new election reform laws?

Our panel of experts will answer these and other questions as we begin the final 12 months of Election 2016.
